Azure Power has commissioned three solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 150 MW in Punjab. The company had won these projects under Punjab’s Solar Power Policy Phase III. Spread across 713 acres, the project was commissioned ahead of the scheduled date. Power generated from the plants will be sold to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited at Rs 5.63 per unit for 25 years. Azure Power currently has a solar portfolio of 229 MW in the state.
