Jakson receives a series of solar power contracts

Rooftop solar power plant at Rashtrapati Bhawan: Jakson Engineers Limited has secured a contract for a 508 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) plant to be installed at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. Jakson will design, install, commission and maintain the plant at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The plant will generate approximately 741,000 units per annum and will also incorporate a net metering system to enable the export of power in case of surplus generation. The project is expected to be commissioned by end-2016.

5.92 MW solar plant to be built on the Jaklaun Pump Canal Top: Jakson has received turnkey engineering, procurement and consultancy orders for executing a 5.92 MW solar power project on the Jaklaun Pump Canal Top in Lalitpur district, Uttar Pradesh. As part of the project, Jakson will supply, install and commission the power plant for the Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh. The plant will be installed on the first 7 km stretch of the canal and its efficiency will be closely monitored by experts to assess the real-time data. Besides producing electricity, the plant will help reduce the evaporation of water from the canal and benefit farmers. The power generated will be fed into the grid.
