Ingeteam to launch 100 kW three-phase string inverter

Ingeteam is set to launch its new solar photovoltaic (PV) string inverter at the upcoming Solar-Tec fair in Egypt. The inverter is designed to generate a power output of 100 kW alternating current (AC) in a single, 75 kg unit at the upcoming Solar-Tec fair in Egypt. The product is set to go into production in June 2017.

According to the company, the new three-phase inverter, commercialised under the name INGECON SUN 100TL, is suitable for indoor and outdoor installations and is primarily directed at commercial, industrial and large-scale projects. The inverter’s high power density means that it would be possible to reduce the number of inverters to be installed and, therefore, also the total cables required. Further, no combiner boxes (in either  direct current [DC] or AC) or a neutral cable would be required, thereby reducing the total cost of AC cabling by up to 20 per cent.

The inverter has a maximum efficiency of 98.8 per cent, offers Wi-Fi and Ethernet communications, and provides a maximum DC input voltage of up to 1,100 V direct current and grid support functionalities with a low voltage ride-through capability and reactive power capability.
